Liz is a volunteer on the farm and decided to join us when she retired as she wanted to keep active and not get bored.
Liz has a background in working with horses and also being a veterinary nurse so loves caring for animals and being in nature and the countryside.
In later years she has taken up art which she is exceptionally good at and is happy to share her skills and knowledge with others.
Liz enjoys her spare time walking her dog along with her husband Peter and tranquil times in her art shed.
" a morning working on the farm is so rewarding and mood boosting"
Liz.
Peter is a volunteer on the farm along side his wife Liz.
He first started with us on the farm at his wife's suggestion to do something to challenge them, keep them fit and get them out in the fresh air.
Peter was born on a farm but then went on to become a Merchant Seaman and modular construction, so very useful with a power tool. Many of Peters skills have been called on for various projects on the farm.
"Both Liz and I really enjoy being part of the team.Volunteering gives us such a sense of achievement and we really enjoy being around the animals and contributing to the farm."
Pete
